Whew! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted and that’s all on me. But, A LOT has happened over the past year, and while that’s no excuse for neglecting this cherished collective, I offer it as more of an explanation than anything else. You see, I have learned that we can be uber-passionate about certain things or pursuits in our life and also let those things just be for just awhile. Let things marinate, if you will, as other life experiences enhance those passions without us even trying.
I’ve learned that life is not always about doing, but is sometimes about being and experiencing and loving and living with eyes, heart and mind wide open to all the possibilities that exceed our own fertile imaginations.
And that brings me to my hiatus. Approximately one year ago, I decided to completely upend my life. Sold my house. Bought a Sprinter van. Finished a novel. Traveled the country in said van. Attended a retreat in Guatemala. Did the work to forgive myself for all those times I did not stand up for and love my authentic (and yes, sometimes messy) self. This work was so important and needed, and the result was that I fell madly in love with the person I am, was and will be.
This year has humbled me, inspired me, challenged me, and refreshed and rejuvenated my soul and I am supremely grateful for it all. I will share some of my adventures with you in the coming days and months, but for those who are reading this and wanting to reconnect to this blog, I thank you from the bottom of my healed and abundant heart!
Oh, and yes! I mentioned I just published a novel! It’s called Swimming at Sunset with Dolphins, and if you’re interested, it’s available on Amazon. Go over and check it out!
